Instructions:

Netscape 4.0 browser:

Every time you launch your Netscape 4.0 browser, you can begin your Internet adventures using the Local Directory site.

    1. Using the Netscape Edit menu, go to Preferences.

    2. Within Preferences, select the Navigator category.

    3. In the Navigator Starts With section, choose Home Page

    4. Type http://www.saanichton.bcnetwork.com in the Home Page Location box, and click on OK.

Now, click on the HOME button anytime you want to return to your BC Network Local Directory.

**Note: If you are using an older version of Netscape, look for the Options section within the Preferences menu.

Bookmarking Your Local directory:

The Bookmarking feature lets you quickly jump to your favorite web sites without having to type in the address each time.

    1. To bookmark Your Local Directory, click on the Bookmarks section of the Netscape menu bar.

    2. Select Add Bookmark.

Internet Explorer 4.0 browser

Every time you launch your Internet Explorer 4.0 browser, you can begin your Internet adventures using the BC Network Search site.

    1. Go to the http://www.saanichton.bcnetwork.com site when you first start Internet Explorer.

    2. Using the View menu, select Internet Options.

    3. You will see http://www.saanichton.bcnetwork.com in the Home Page section.

    4. Click on Use Current.

Now, click on the HOME button anytime you want to return to the BC Network Local Directory area.

**Note: If you're using Internet Explorer 3.0, go to View and select Options then Navigation.

    1. Beside Page: select Start Page.

    2. Beside Address: type http://www.saanichton.bcnetwork.com and then click OK. Making the Local directory one of your Favorites.
